Now that winter has appeared where it belongs as well as in areas of the country where it doesn't I was wondering how other members are coping. Hopefully eveyone is staying safe and warm.

So how is everyone doing? I got the idea for posting this thread specifically because I've haven't seen Michael P. and John Mayes lately. They happen to live in areas hardest hit by some nasty ice storms and extended low temps. Hope all is well there.

I'll go first...

North Central Indiana finally got some winter temperatures after January 7 (my last day on the golf course). Normal temps with just a light dusting of snow so far. My only complaint is that I can't get the humidity level in the house above 35%.

We've had temps in the mid to high teens for the last week and a half that have cause some broken pipes and such for some people. I was ready and had wraped everything that needed it and haad no problems except cold fingers and such. I heat a 12' x 12' section of my shop so that's where I have been hanging out when I there. Humidity/temps, 40% and around 68deg in that room.

I'll be ready to spray nitro soon though so I'm always hoping for warmer weather.

We've had no power for 18 hours, recently came back on, fallen trees and floods everywhere, a chap in my county was killed as a tree went through his windscreen, a friend of mine had her car wrecked as a shop front collapsed on it, a large branch fell MINUTES after my husband walked under it with my youngest daughter fresh from playgroup....so, yeah, quite an eventful two days!!

Well, I've been on the golf course every day this week. Skiing mind you, but on the course nonetheless.
We got the cold and snow but not the nasty junk so many others got.

Earlier this week it was in the 30'sF during the day here in North Alabama. Normally, we'll have a week or two in the 20's and teens. We almost never get snow accumulation. Right now it's 45.

Mainly snow here lately, the ice was all gone prior to the last snowfall, not much drama over here if it ain't that i hate shoveling...

Pretty pictures Lance....a couple of those would look nice framed.

The weather sure has been goofy all over. I had to cancel a trip to Houston this week on account of them having ice storms. I thought AirCanada was joking when they told me the flight was cancelled.

Winter has finally come to Toronto - the grass is finally covered. Saturday we are off to do some family skiing with the Karol family.

Nice pics, Lance. Too bad all that pretty ice is so troublesome.

Sorry you're getting hammered too, Sam.

Woa, John, not so normal for that part of California! Glad you were ready for
it! I spent a good year in Sacramento in the 70s, had some nice drives
through the Sierra foothills in my much-missed old 3-liter Healey.

We had highs in the low teens last week, a few nights below zero, got a few
inches of snow this week with temps in the high 20s and mid 30s, so we're
feeling pretty cozy, relatively speaking.

Any news from our Okie, Arkie and Texan friends? Seems like that was the general area of most concern.
